Mark Douglas

CEO and Co-Founder

Mark Douglas is a seasoned branding, marketing and media industry veteran with more than 25 years of management and strategic sales experience in the communications, radio, television and cross-medium marketing platforms.  Prior to co-founding BrandEcho, Mark served as General Sales Manager with NBC Universal at KPXN-TV/Channel 30 in Los Angeles. Mark directed all national and local sales efforts, and was also responsible for directing and implementing strategic non-traditional revenue and new business growth campaigns, creating new cross client marketing opportunities, and initiating a strong local direct billing program to foster increased station revenues. Mark also managed commercial air time sales for Young Broadcasting/KCAL-Television Channel 9 in Los Angeles, where he serviced some of the market’s leading advertising agency accounts.  He also has held several positions in management, sales and research within the radio broadcast field where he had the opportunity to experience multiple sides of the business – from on-air radio talent, to sales strategist (both at the corporate and local market levels), to management.  Mark directed sales of radio advertising to major Southern California market advertising agencies for CBS/Infinity Radio Sales (Interep).  In this capacity, he was responsible for developing non-traditional revenue accounts. Mark also served as General Sales Manager for KSNE-FM radio in Las Vegas and as General Manager of KTHT-FM in Fresno.  He also served in multiple management capacities for the Spacecom Broadcast Group; and garnered extensive experience in research and demographic market analysis side with Media Marketing Technologies (Arbitron).


Jamie Douglas

President and Co-Founder

 Jamie has 25 years of experience in communications and marketing, and a vast background in strategic brand development.  Her concentration includes general consumer, e-commerce, technology, financial, entertainment and lifestyle marketing, and corporate brand management experience.  She opened her own public relations and marketing practice, The Brand Company, in 2004 to service entrepreneurial clients in the consumer brand, financial and corporate arenas.  Clients have included EB Games, First City Credit Union, WesCorp, Optevi Search, BeJane.com, Harmoney Financial, Yoga with Your Baby, and TeleFlip, Inc. Prior to starting her own consultancy, Jamie was a senior vice president and senior partner with the Los Angeles office of the international public relations firm Fleishman-Hillard.  In that capacity, she was responsible for running the agency’s Brand Communications, Corporate, and Technology Divisions and was involved in all facets of client account management, new business development, and personnel development.  A savvy and creative brand marketer and Silver Anvil award-winner, Jamie has developed a series of successful media relations and marketing campaigns that have taken her clients to the forefront of their respective industries.  During her tenure in public relations and marketing, she instigated and directed memorable media and special event initiatives that grabbed local, national, and international headlines, and helped position Fortune 500 companies, as well as entrepreneurial start-ups, to gain industry credibility and acclaim.


Jeanette Okwu

Social Media Director

Jeanette is a champion and an independent thought leader on social and emerging technologies, with a track record of crafting successful digital brand strategies and implementing effective social media initiatives.  She brings first-hand experience in media, digital marketing and social technologies to BrandEcho clients, but also offers strong strategic business experience that helps companies to integrate successful social strategies into their global brand landscape.  As a digital strategist, she has tapped emerging social technologies for A-list clients including Mercedes AMG, The La Prairie Group and Daimler Chrysler.  She is a digital strategist for Luxury Branding Research, Inc., a subsidiary of ERP, Berlin, Germany, and also specializes in Luxury Brand marketing with an emphasis in automotive research, customer satisfaction, and employee education.  Jeanette has held several senior management positions at companies like womenwine.com, Ted Paulson Digital Agency and several internet start-ups.  Prior to moving to the United States, she was an executive producer and on-air personality at Germany’s biggest private television network, RTL.  Her profound knowledge in the digital and Social Media Marketing landscape makes her a sought after speaker on topics surrounding Facebook, SEO and Social Bookmarking for top businesses and brands.


Dawn Michelle Wilson

Sustainable Marketing Director

For more than 18 years, Dawn Michelle Wilson has been strategically positioning brands to connect companies, and their products, to customers in a way that elevates both brand awareness and the corporate bottom line of the clients she represents.  Dawn is a seasoned, senior-level executive with deep experience in brand management, business development, strategic marketing and communications, and cause marketing/ Corporate Social Responsibility practice building. She specifically has conducted social marketing, public relations and advertising for corporate/Fortune 500 companies and philanthropic and government entities – and her specialty includes consultation in the sustainable marketing, corporate citizenship, community engagement, Corporate Board/staff training, and organizational culture development arenas. Michele Clayborne

Entertainment Director

Michele Clayborne is an entertainment and lifestyle public relations consultant with extensive background in launching and publicizing consumer products and services in both North America and Europe.  Her direct experience includes managing and directing branding initiatives, media relations campaigns, special events and launching emerging online companies. As a former Vice President at Fleishman-Hillard International Communications, one of the world’s leading communications firms, Michele has managed teams of public relations and marketing communications professionals specializing in consumer marketing, lifestyle marketing, luxury goods marketing and entertainment-related projects.  During her tenure at Fleishman-Hillard she was instrumental in creating heightened brand visibility for clients such as National Public Radio, FullTiltPoker.com, Gold’s Gym, Cingular Wireless, Hasbro, Schwarzkopf & Dep, Belvedere Vodka, Jose Cuervo’s 1800 and Gran Centenario Tequilas, Big Lots and The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).  In addition to her agency experience, Michele also launched national and worldwide consumer entertainment campaigns as an in-house studio representative.  She has served as an entertainment consultant for MTV Europe and British Sky Broadcasting.  She also served as corporate relations manager for Sky Pictures, the feature film division of British Sky Broadcasting in London, an affiliate of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation. Michele began her public relations career at PolyGram Films in Los Angeles.  Michele is a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA).


Michelle Suzuki

Michelle has extensive experience in the Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander markets.  An often untapped demographic, the Asian market has tremendous purchasing power and influence in the United States, particularly in California and the West Coast.  For more than 15 years, Michelle has developed and lead campaigns and programs nationally and in California, Oregon and Washington for clients reaching out to the Asian community including Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese, Japanese, Pilipino and South East Asian communities. Andrew Tsukahira

Interactive/Web Design Director

 Andrew has over a decade of online marketing experience with companies in the Fortune 500 as well as start-ups.  He has created strategies, plans and implementations for hundreds of successful websites and online advertising executions. His prior experience includes serving as  Senior Interactive Marketing Strategist at TEQUILA\, the online and direct marketing arm of TBWA\Chiat\Day.  At TEQUILA\, he created online marketing strategies, devised information architecture and optimized results for clients in automotive (Nissan, Infiniti),  consumer electronics (Sony PlayStation, Sony Qualia, Harman International, Boost Mobile),  consumer packaged goods (Gatorade, Energizer, Uncle Ben’s, Whiskas, Pepsi, Pedigree, Ball Park Franks), and various other industries (Pennzoil, Hoover, World Poker Tour, adidas, ABC News, Callaway Golf).  He has also consulted with Publicis (T-Mobile, HP), DraftFCB (Kaiser Permanente, PG&E), Deutsch (TGI Fridays, Saturn, Real California Cheese, Fresh & Easy), Secret Weapon (Jack In The Box, So Cal Honda), Venables Bell (Audi) and David & Goliath (Kia). Mike Burzynski

Creative Director and Graphic Design

Mike helps clients focus their marketing efforts to take advantage of their product and market strengths. He has developed both global and domestic marketing strategies that include market research, product positioning, channel development, new product development and evaluation procedures, test marketing, and new product launch planning.  Key client experience includes IBM, Kofax, InThree, FileNet, and U.S. Lighting Technology. He’s also worked closely with client partners to create integrated cooperative marketing programs and graphic designs.  He has served as President of the Board for leading Autism education and treatment facility, Speech and Language Development Center, in Orange County, Calif.


Ilana Youngheim

Shari Nakakura

Shari Nakakura has 25+ years of marketing communications and corporate experience, having served a broad range of blue-chip consumer and technology companies and startups.  Shari was a senior vice president with Fleishman-Hillard Los Angeles, having spent 12 years with the agency working with a diverse roster of clients, including several Las Vegas mega resorts (Excalibur, Luxor Las Vegas, MGM Grand Hotel & Theme Park, New York/New York), Nestle Carnation (Baby Ruth brand and Very Best in Youth scholarship program), Netcom On-Line Communications, Charles Schwab and Kaiser Permanente. Jon Haber

Issues Management

An expert at helping businesses and organizations manage their reputation and respond to changing media and political environments, Jon Haber offers advice and assistance on branding, message development, strategic communications, online strategies/new media and public policy campaign management.  As CEO of the American Association for Justice (AAJ, formerly, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), Jon led the repositioning, revitalization and turnaround of one of the nation’s most powerful professional associations. Helping AAJ reframe the debate about civil justice issues, Jon developed a new communications program and web presence and led the change of the organization’s name. Before joining AAJ, Jon was a senior partner at Fleishman-Hillard, the world’s largest public relations, public affairs and marketing company. At Fleishman, Jon developed and managed a highly successful public affairs and corporate communications consulting practice for companies, non-profits and foundations.  During the Clinton Administration, Jon was special counsel to the president at the Overseas Private Investment Corp. Earlier he was chief of staff/general counsel for Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and counsel/communications director for Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry. He worked in five presidential campaigns including Howard Dean, Bill Clinton, Richard Gephardt, Walter Mondale and Edward Kennedy. A native of Los Angeles, Jon has a BA from UCLA and a JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
